A Polícia Civil do Espírito Santo (PCES), por meio da Superintendência de Ações Estratégicas e Operacionais (SIAE), deflagrou a Operação “Aproximação” na noite desta segunda-feira (14), no município da Serra. Essa ação, que ocorre desde outubro de 2023, tem como objetivo coibir e prevenir a prática de crimes patrimoniais contra usuários de transporte público, além de promover uma aproximação humanizada com a população.
A operação foi realizada durante a escala operacional ISEO, iniciando às 18h e encerrando à 0h, nas proximidades do Terminal de Carapina, na Serra. A ação contou com a participação de 20 policiais. Foram 15 coletivos inspecionados, além de veículos de transporte por aplicativo e táxis, totalizando 58 pessoas abordadas.

Durante as ações, os policiais explicam os motivos da ação e as circunstâncias que podem levar à necessidade de uma revista pessoal. Além disso, questionam se há algum passageiro que se sinta ameaçado, informam como ocorrem a maioria dos furtos nos ônibus e distribuem cartões do Disque-denúncia, entre outras orientações.
A Operação “Aproximação” foi planejada com base em estudos sobre a incidência de crimes patrimoniais, especialmente furtos e roubos a usuários de transporte coletivo. Esses estudos também indicam que o horário de maior ocorrência desses crimes é entre 20h e 21h, período em que muitos cidadãos estão retornando para suas casas.
