Falta de informações oficiais durante feriados e finais de semanas tem prejudicado o trabalho jornalístico e em alguns momentos tem também prejudicado de forma injusta a imagem da PM
A ocorrência policial que terminou com a morte de um homem no bairro São Pedro III, na capital Vitória, no último sábado (02), por volta das 19 horas. No domingo (03), os jornais capixabas não tiveram como receber informações oficiais da Polícia Militar, através da assessoria de comunicação, somente na segunda-feira (04).

Durante finais de semana, feriados e pontos facultativos a assessoria somente tem acesso às ocorrências e autuações do plantão vigente das Delegacias. Os cartórios onde consultamos ocorrências de plantões finalizados, funcionam de segunda a sexta-feira, em dias úteis.
Mas no decorrer da semana, os próprios policiais militares passaram a divulgar uma versão diferente da divulgada inicialmente.

De acordo com os militares, Weliton da Silva Dias, de 24 anos, baleado no peito, quando foi abordado pelo militar, estava armado com uma submetralhadora de fabricação caseira. Quando estava com as mãos sob a cabeça, teria esboçado uma reação. Inclusive a retirada da arma do corpo, atrapalhou o socorro imediato. Conforme o vídeo abaixo.
De acordo com moradores, a vítima identificada como Weliton da Silva Dias, de 24 anos baleado pelo policial militar, trabalhava como auxiliar de pedreiro, deixou esposa e filho. Mas a Secretaria de Estado de Segurança Pública e Defesa Social (SESP), informou que Weliton tinha oito passagens pela polícia, entre os anos de 2012 e 2019 por crimes como, porte ilegal de arma de fogo, ameaça, desacato ou resistência à ação policial e tráfico de entorpecentes.
