O Ministério Público do Estado do Espírito Santo (MPES), deflagrou nesta quarta-feira (31), a operação TIES, que através do Grupo de Atuação Especial de Combate ao Crime Organizado (Gaeco) com o apoio da Polícia Militar, investigam a conduta ilegal de advogados que estariam se utilizando do cargo para auxiliar o comando de lideranças do tráfico de drogas.
A operação contou com mandados de busca e apreensão nos municípios de Serra, Vitória, Cariacica, Vila Velha e Guarapari. Ao todo são 10 advogados investigados por se utilizarem da advocacia para transmitir mensagens ilícitas entre membros de organizações criminosas, facilitando o controle e gestão dessas facções dentro do estado.

O MPES ainda divulgou que por conta dessas suspeitas, os 10 advogados foram submetidos a uma medida cautelar de suspensão do exercício da advocacia com base no art. 319, inc. VI, do Código Processo Penal. Além disso, estão proibidos de adentrar qualquer estabelecimento do sistema prisional, e ainda terão que prestar depoimento ao Gaeco.
As buscas e apreensões seguem sob o acompanhamento de representantes da Comissão de Prerrogativas da OAB-ES, por meio da 1ª Vara Criminal de Viana. O MPES não divulgou a identidade dos supostos advogados, nem a dos criminosos que estariam envolvidos. Até o momento, a investigação segue sob sigilo.
