Nesta quinta-feira (04), um vídeo gravado por uma pessoa que aguardava atendimento na Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) de Carapina, na Serra, registrou um homem indo embora no teto de um ônibus do sistema Transcol. De acordo com outros pacientes, o homem em questão seria um paciente que havia fugido da UPA por volta das 11 horas.
A cena chamou a atenção de diversos populares e pacientes que estavam no local. Nas imagens, é possível notar que o homem estava com a cabeça enfaixada. A situação gerou questionamentos sobre a segurança e o protocolo de atendimento para pacientes em crise.

O que diz a Prefeitura da Serra?
A reportagem do Serra Noticiário procurou a Prefeitura da Serra, que retornou por meio de nota informando que a equipe da UPA seguiu os procedimentos padrão em situações de emergência.
A Prefeitura da Serra, por meio da Secretaria de Saúde (SESA), confirmou que o paciente foi levado à UPA de Carapina pelo Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (SAMU), apresentando um quadro de ansiedade. Antes de passar pela classificação de risco, ele pulou da maca e saiu correndo da unidade. A SESA esclareceu que não há atendimento ou internação compulsórios nas UPAs.
