A onda de calor que atinge o Espírito Santo e outras regiões do Brasil já começa a afetar o abastecimento de água potável. A Companhia Espírito-Santense de Saneamento (CESAN) alerta que mais de 50 cidades capixabas, incluindo Cariacica, enfrentam problemas de fornecimento, com moradores relatando falta de água.
As temperaturas no estado têm batido recordes, desencadeando um alerta vermelho para grande perigo devido a temperaturas 5ºC acima da média desde a última segunda-feira (13). Este calor extremo tem aumentado significativamente o consumo de água.

A CESAN, responsável pelo abastecimento em várias partes do Espírito Santo, reporta uma queda acentuada nos níveis dos mananciais de captação de água. Isso compromete o fornecimento em pelo menos 53 cidades.
A companhia solicita que a população economize água e adote práticas de reúso. Em áreas com falta de água, a CESAN está providenciando abastecimento emergencial com caminhões-pipa.
